As previously posted, I was going to try out some Percale sheets. Bought two sets from Bealls -- white, with white starfish embroidered on the hems.
Just washed them and realized I cannot put them on the bed without some ironing.
In my heart, I knew this, so it's all right. But, not sure I would buy more sets.
These are sheets being used in our small B&B and I don't mind pressing them when necessary.
For me, they would be fine, but I was concerned about guests pulling back the sheets thinking they looked like a wrinkled mess.
I think they will be fine for summer.

Love percale but always concerned about thread count. Could you tell us what TC your new ones are? Thanks
(I bought Martha S's from Macy's but don't recall the count)

They were 200 TC, but I'll confess I didn't check that until just now.
Bought them from Bealls Florida and they are the Panama Jack brand. Never heard of them, but thought I'd give them a try.
Had I seen that, I likely would not have ordered.
However, they aren't bad when pressed. I've already put them on the bed and they look and feel smooth and lovely.
I thought they might be nice for summer for the king size bed in our B&B. I change my sheets too often in my own home to get into ironing them every time.
In our cottage, I only change them when someone stays, so it will not be a constant usage.
As I said, they are all right, but I would not buy anymore. I'll be interested to see how they hold up.

Thank you - I'm no expert but have bought sheets I loved and some not. I usually look for the middle grade = 300. Have found higher you go the more stiff and (600) wrinkled they get. Makes no sense but I keep trying to learn. Guess tight tight weave makes the stiff part.

I completely understand! I normally try to stay at 400 to 600 TC just so they are durable. I change/wash my sheets 2-3 times in a week (in the summer).
Even though we have an air conditioned home, I just feel the need for clean sheets more often in the summer. So, they've got to hold up to repeated washings.
I bought some 1000 TC sheets once, and they were extremely heavy and not all that comfy.
I'm considering giving microfiber a try as they are pretty inexpensive and don't wrinkle.
The quest continues!
Hope you find sheets you love.

I would expect to have to iron cotton sheets in your situation. I always buy poly / cotton blends for this reason - no ironing.

Microfiber sheets are too hot and thus uncomfortable for sleeping. Save time and money and walk on by them.

Could you invest in a mangle? To me really nice cotton sheets are a big plus.

As to having a mangle, I'm all right with ironing the few sets I have that need ironing.
Truth be told, I'm fine with a few wrinkles. The sheets I'm fussing with are for guests.
