Re: Two Outdoor Living Areas Done Up for Fall...

I like #2 very much with the touches of soft blue...take away about half the leaves on the mantle in #1 and it would also be nice. It just looks like a mess with so many leaves spilling off the mantel and also a fire hazard.

@stevieb  I like the second one. It seems much calmer and more relaxed to me.

The mass of color in the first one would disturb me over time.

I agree @Regal Bee .

And why use garlands of fake dyed leaves when the backdrop is lot of beautiful real leaves---that will turn brilliant colors on their own.

Otherwise, I like the first space more.

Please don't force me to choose, @stevieb -- I'm so ready for fall, I'll take both!

I love the second space. It is so simple, and beautiful. It is very pleasing to the eye.

I like them both! If I had to choose I'd pick the first one since I prefer more color. Love the autumn season and colors. 🍁

They're both nice and pretty but I would replace the decor in #2 with what's in #1 but scaled down considerably.

The first is overdone and cluttered.  The second is under done with the pumpkins and flowers being disproportionate in size to the fireplace and space.

Re: Two Outdoor Living Areas Done Up for Fall...

Both settings are beautiful and so relaxing to look at.  Even though I think I prefer the first photo - the setting blends more with the great outdoors, I like the colorful fall decorations and stonework and the lighter color wood, and I especially like that the roof is (or appears to be) solid thus providing protection from the sun and weather - I would be happy to sit and have a cup of coffee in both places.

@stevieb Thank you for your posts.  I enjoy reading them on many of the subjects on the boards.
