I could do without the large banana leaves on the mantel but otherwise, find this room sort of refreshing, as I gaze out onto yet another dreary day... I don't love everthing about it, to be sure, but I do like it...

If the inside of the shelving were white, I would like it much better.

I've heard that accents of rattan are back in style for interiors, however, not necessarily for me.  At least in this room.

Love a deep green color.  This shade is a bit 'off' for me.

I kind of like it for a change! Minus the banana leaves on the mantel, its kind of bright and airy and cheery looking!

I agree about the banana plant leaves or whatever they are but I do like to think about "visiting" (not living) in a place like that on a day like today.  Calgon, take me away.

I would change the green paint to white and find smaller banana leaves for the mantel.

I like the room...it's airy, different, and happy.

I happen to love green so as for that fresh spring green paint color, I guess I happen to like it, though I'd probably not use it in my own home, at least not in a frequently used room... While it is, to me, uplifting and crisp, I can understand that it's not for everyone...

I love the beachy feel of it.  I even like the green and the banana leaves!  LOL

It reminds me of staying at a Sandlas resort in the Bahamas, oh to be there now.....
