I have an unusually sized black lamp shade the is 40 years old. Goes an a lamp that is similar to the oiled bronze finish that is popular now. The base is like a rosebud. It is a small table lamp. (Between an overgrown night light & a table lamp.

I had to glue the support mechanism to the shade-the glue finally failed.

I need to use a trim to cover the upper edge to hide the glue. Black grosgrain ribbon or something more? If something more, any ideas?
