Although it's a bit modern for my tastes, the second room is much better than the before.  The before is a train wreck even if they hadn't photographed it with all the boxes.  You can tell no thought was put into furniture placement, and the furniture itself was not a good choice.

The first room is unfinished, the second room is hideous to me. A modern room with cheap furniture and unattractive extras.

The before picture has the disadvantage of not being completed.

 

Still, I prefer it to the second picture.

I'm not impressed with either.

 

Pic 2 has a few more features that are nicer than Pic 1.

At least I could work with the first room. I absolutely hate the "after".  Mismatched walls and too many patterns, styles, etc. jumbled together.  It feels cold and uninviting to me.
