I don't care for that ottoman.  It's too bright for the rest of the room even though there is blue in the carpet.

I would change out the ottoman.  Otherwise I like the room.

That is much more than a touch of gold! Don’t like the ceiling at all!

 

Love the shelves! The sofa, chair, and rug are ok. I would hang a different painting and change the ottoman to a warm color instead of blue.

I like the room but NOT that ceiling and I'd choose a solid color area rug...
