My kitchen has two sides. One is the "Wet side" with the stove, sink & refrig where the real cooking & mess happens.
The other side has about 10" of base cabinets. I can't use my upper cabinets because I am in a wheelchair & can't reach them. The "dry side" has my microwave, toaster oven, mug rack, plate rack, current cereal box, current bread & crackers, etc. on it. Translation: One hot visual mess.
I am think about getting a double & single upper cabinets to sit on the "dry side" base cabinet to hide the stuff I need to reach but looks so unattractive sitting out. They would flank the microwave & toaster oven.
I have golden oak raised panel cabinets in great shape. I am thinking about golden oak with frosted glass panel with interior lights so it won't close in the room too much. I have about 10 feet between the wet & dry side, so I am not dealing with a galley kitchen.
Would that look too odd?
