My mom loved to sew. She made an Advent calendar from fabric that hung in my classroom (Catholic school). She also made stuffed dolls and animals with outfits for the church picnic fundraiser.

 

She made a lot of homemade cookies during this time. I loved helping her make those. We always shared some with teachers, friends, & family.

 

She had a beautiful voice and sang in the choir and around the house. I also love singing anytime anywhere. I sing in the same choir that my mom did. I especially love Advent & Christmas music. 

 

My mom has been gone 6 years. I miss her a lot. When I sing, see her stuffed animals in my house, or make her cookie recipes. I think of her. Makes me cry and smile at the same time.
