On August 23, I ordered a Shark corded stick vacuum from HSN for $140.06 which includes tax and free shipping. I like it very much. Today the same vacuum is being sold for $199.99 with free shipping.I saved almost $60 by ordering it when I did. I doubt they will be lowering prices on home appliances any time soon.

That's why Today Specials at HSN are often very special.

The last TS I bought on HSN was a Shark portable vacuum.  I was very surprised to find it for less money (still with free shipping) less than a month later (maybe two weeks?).

I contacted them to ask whether they guarantee the price (or would refund the difference, like QVC does) and asked how a supposed TS could be sold for a lower price in such a short time.  How could it have been a TS at the higher price?

All I got was that they always want their customers to be happy and to get the very best deal and they would pass my comments on to the PTB.

No mention of a price difference refund, no "courtesy" credit, and no explanation of why the TS price was higher than a subsequent sales price.  No answer to that at all.

Just "Sorry" and "Have a great day!"  It doesn't inspire customer confidence, IMO.  Not a great fan of HSN.

@Venezia sorry you had a bad experience. The vacuum I bought was not a TS but I had shopped around for a corded stick vacuum and HSN had the best price and there were good reviews.

@Venezia, that's really unfortunate for several reasons. My experience with their customer service has always been excellent. Hard to figure out why they would lower the price then not price adjust or offer an account credit.

I do like that more of their TS have free shipping as compared to here. Also their discounts seem far more than the $5-10 off on a QVC's TSV.

@Etoile308 - I couldn't understand why they wouldn't adjust the price either, but the CS rep wouldn't budge.  It was a case of "Sorry that happened" and that was it.  (And sorry just didn't cut it for me.)  Woman Sad

I'm happy enough with the actual vacuum, but not with their response.
