@dex.  I just ran across this picture and remembered your post.  Is this how you feel?

Re: This winter’s quilting project

@Mom2Dogs, I hate the cutting and piecing also.  King size quilts are a big job.  When I do something that big, I try to make sure I love the pattern because that is a lot of quilting.  LM

Re: This winter’s quilting project

@Seashell girl, I always keep an eye out for toppers.  If I see one I like, I grab it.  All of my quilting is done by hand.  I only use the machine to piece. LM

@ScenicMaine, we are coastal in Nova Scotia too so I know why it would look good in your home in Maine.  Merry Christmas neighbor.  LM

I've seen that fabric at the fabric store. Love those colors.

@Lilysmom

ummm.... I cannot tell a lie.  I wish I did live in Maine.  I live in Mass.  Maine's my preferred place to vacation.  Can we still shake hands from Mass to Nova Scotia "My more distant Neighbor?"

I did visit Nova Scotia a long time ago & it wasn't nearly long enough.  Just took the ferry from Bar Harbor, ME to Halifax, so we only spent the night.  As I said, much too short of a visit.  I would have loved to see more.

 MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR LILYSMOM,

@ScenicMaine, love Massachusetts too💕!!!  We travel twice a year to your area.  Love that we can drive.

The plan is in the works to move the Nova Scotia ferry back to Bar Harbour. You will have to come again.  I live just outside a Halifax (20 minutes from downtown).  Our City is going through a major growth spurt.  Lots of great things to see and do.

Merry Christmas neighbor!  LM

@Lilysmom

I love your beach themed quilt! Very pretty!

I remember my mom cutting out pieces for her quilts. When I got older I was allowed to help cut the pieces. She would use scraps from other projects to make geometric designs on her quilts. My mom passed away 6 years ago. She loved to sew, make dolls, do crafts, sing, and bake. I am not a sewer, but I do like crafts, singing, and baking my mom’s cookie recipes.
