It's not strictly true that with a condo you only own the inside of your unit. You own a percentage of the entire property (percentage of ownership) in most instances. The chart of maintenance responsibilities, as to who must maintain what, differs from property to property and is not uniform across the board. Regardless, some realtors will do anything they can do, ethical or not, to move a property. It's unfortuante, shoddy and, to my mind, not professional, for a realtor to misrepresent a property by posting a picture of another property that seems more desirable. Does he not think prospective buyers will notice the difference...

I have an unusual set up with my Condo/Townhouse. I would love to pay into a fund to take care of outside maintenance.  It would be easier and cheaper than paying to paint and powerwash the outside of my house times 257 units.

And less HOA headache trying to get people to comply.

Just call this agent's broker (owner or manager of his office) - or call the Board of Realtors in the area. They'll take care of it. Dishonest realtor. No - he doesn't have a right to post pictures or ur house.

Buyers also check out houses on-line -- and will drive by looking at ur house.

Some people still get phone books?

We get one listing businesses, but no residences.

But why would the other realtor knowingly keep up the wrong pictures in another listing?  Seems it would be a huge waste of time, having to explain to people that the house pictured isn't really the house for sale.

@insomniac2 we get something a few times a year, also businesses only.  I walk down to the end of the driveway, pick it up, and toss in the recycling bin.

I wonder if you have to have a landline phone to get a white pages phone book? We get one every year. Plus 2 business ones from 2 different companies.

@Cakers3

If "bait and switch" is a waste of time for the salesperson who employs that tactic, then why would bait/switch be so common in all parts of the business world?

All you have to do is get  a customer's  foot in the door with something that sounds or looks good..........from there, the customer is yours to work with as long as you can hold their attention.

Getting attention  in the first place is the real challenge.

151949, I've had a landline continuously since the 70's. Long ago, I received phone books, but not in the last ten years.
