I have a lot of hankies from the "olden days."  Once upon a time, this would have been the decor I gravitated toward.  Now I just admire it.

My mom, aunt, and grandmas also had handkerchiefs exactly like these. Sweet memories.

Geez I wonder if you could do this with stars and stripes bandanas for 4th of July?!  I think I might check in to that!  

Edited to add that I just saw on Etsy the same idea using regular red, white, and blue bandanas for a patriotic look so people have already thought of the idea!  Guess I'm a day late and a dollar short!  😉

I do love that look, so pretty and nostalgic.  I have a few vintage hankies which I use as doilies.  The wreath is a great idea, so lovely.
