Re: The "Collector's" Entryway

Too much. I like shelving and I like a gallery wall, but this goes overboard. Bring in the unappealing stair runner, the rug that looks askew, the clutter on the stairs and whatever is sitting at the top of them and it's a complete no-go.

Well proportioned.

I'll bet that's a beautiful home.

Love the recessed shelving, the rest is a complete no, for me.

Re: The "Collector's" Entryway

I like it and it's neat and organized. I would remove the things on the steps.

@lolakimono

I like the over-all effect!

Beutiful home...in this narrow entryway, I’d have a claustrophobic attack...it is closing in.

I hate that clutter on the stairs which could be a hazard causing a fall. Also dont like the dark brown stain on the stairs.  Too much "stuff" in this house.

Way too many pictures.When I was about 11 yrs old,we went to a restaurant and the restroom was upstairs.They had paintings on the wall and I was looking at them walking down the stairs.I missed a step and fell down the stairs.Lucky I was not hurt bad,more embarrassed than anything.

Re: The "Collector's" Entryway

@lolakimono   I love it.  Some of the things on the steps look like wooden shoes.  The picture frames are hung neatly on the wall and the books are neatly put on the shelves.  It looks like a very old home.  I think it's very tastefully done.  Everything is styled very stylishly as far as I'm concerned.  Thank you for the posting.
