The finial fiasco continues!

[ Edited ]

I just received my 'as is' set of champagne finials. Serious problem with them, though. They are red! The invoice enclosed is correct for the champagne color, but they obviously pulled the wrong color.

I ordered red probably 4 times, and cancelled them four times. I guess fate was telling me I need to have red. I put batteries in them, and am watching them throughout the evening. They are beautiful, but so red.

I only use red in the dining room, with some cardinal pieces, and I really don't have room for these in there, and I think they will be over powering for the space, but I'm going to think about it.

I have champagne from last year, and now red and white from this year. They are all beautiful in their own right, but honestly, none look as rich as those champagne.

In the mean time, I re ordered a champagne set, so I'll wait my seven to ten days............. to see the silver ones (probably!!).

Re: The finial fiasco continues!

Oh no!  Luckily you could still re-order the champagne set.

I think the red looks great on the video(s) but champagne will be so much more versatile around my house.

O/T, but so far I'm sticking with just the one set.  I think I will choose to keep them unlit.  I may change my mind once other Christmas decorations are lit up around the house, but at the moment, unlit wins.  Thankfully, the timers all work, so I will still have the choice when Christmas decorating time gets here.

I hate it when people become fanatical about finials.

Well then, if finials fanatics fail to fuel your fancy, fine, feel free to find fortune, fame and friends, on forums afar.

From a fiery, finicky finial fanatic!

LOL. Couldn't resist!

@Kachina624: Is there some reason you like to come onto the Home board and demean people who enjoy discussing home decor? All of your comments lend nothing to the conversation, yet you are here daily making snide remarks.

One day it is the sheets, the next day it is the finials.. Instead of making negative remarks, why don't you share what you like to decorate? I can'.t seem to recall any comments you have made that are positive regarding home decor.

On the Home board, we share a love for adding to the atmosphere of our homes.

.

If someone find joy in snuggling into bed with snowman sheets after they had a long day at work dealing with unruly teenagersand nasty parents, so be it!

Another person finds comfort in lighting beautiful finials after dealing all day with caring for an aged parent, let them enjoy the glow.

I hope that someday you will find something that brings you joy!

MominOhio: I ordered the Valerie set of 4 pumpkins in As Is last year and they sent me the set of 4 glass votives with writing on them.

I did not even see the glass votives on As Is so I do not know where they came from. They were a repackaged item.

I think the Q needs to pay more attention to the marking of these returns! It is costing them time and money!
