Re: The annual declutter and spring cleaning has begun!

Since I do not like to keep stuff laying around I can usually keep up with things most of the year, but my thorough sweep usually occurs in the summer.  That is when I usually try to do the house and.........the dreaded garage and basement!

You girls inspired me to get at it.  Laundry room linen closet and pantry done yesterday.  Storm tomorrow so I will hit another closet.  Eight weeks til Spring!  Hoping to have it all done by then.  LM

I have to go into the office today before I start re-cleaning or re-decluttering out of boredom.

See you all next time it snows ;o)

I've taken three loads to Goodwill this spring - next job is my basement which will happen this summer.  Feels great to get rid of things I don't use.

Oh my goodness @hoosieroriginal!  I'd pay you big money to come do my basement. For years, if I had too many of anything that was still good, down to the basement it went. Everything from spoons to tee shirts. Everything is organized clean and packed up or on shelving, but oh my, just too much stuff.

I'll know I've done something when I actually get my basement completely cleaned out!

@Mominohio - I'm on my way!  I love cleaning up clutter and making things look organized.  Good luck - you'll feel so much better when it's all out of there.

@151949 This made me laugh out loud, same situation for me. God must have a good sense of humor!

A friend of mine rented a dumpster when she moved and got rid of tons of furniture, etc. before moving.  I thought it was a good idea, especially if you have lots of furniture you don't want to take with you and can't donate or sell.

Ha! I'm on the hunt for those cameras someone installed in my house!! That pretty much looks like a random bunch of stuff you'd find in my front hall closet.

I've been exposed!

Re: The annual declutter and spring cleaning has begun!

I was motivated by this thread and cleaned out a kitchen cabinet yesterday.  I also gathered some books to go to a rummage sale.  Nice to be productive.
