Give me a call, I'll come right over!
It's always more fun to clean other's homes. Something new and different, instead of cleaning the same old same old!

However, I am about to tackle my craft room which has far too many different types of crafts, far too much yarn, & far too many craft books and patterns & other stuff too. I'm getting rid of almost everything but items related to crafts I've actually worked on in the last year. A local elementary school art teacher will be happy to get most of my items.
You can definitely make some teacher's day! I know when my son was in grade school, good crafting items donated were like Christmas to the teachers (and students). Glad you are sending them where they will be appreciated.

That would be fun....and after you declutter my house, we could go shopping!!

Oh how I wish i could still do all that. I did it all every year. Washed walls and every curtain and blind. Got the carpets cleaned - but , like you, waited until summer. Now all I can do is declutter and then clean as much as possible. Nothing ever makes a home feel cleaner and fresher than washing the walls down, and cleaning the window treatments.

Oh my goodness @hoosieroriginal! I'd pay you big money to come do my basement. For years, if I had too many of anything that was still good, down to the basement it went. Everything from spoons to tee shirts. Everything is organized clean and packed up or on shelving, but oh my, just too much stuff.
I'll know I've done something when I actually get my basement completely cleaned out!

I am disabled and can't even begin to to try to clean. When I wasn't ill I could clean with the best of them. I like my cleaning more than anyone else, but I can't. My husband just does not get it. He does not see the dirt, so every weekend when he cleans I am upset. Does anyone know how much a professional declutter costs?
I don't know for sure what a professional would cost, but I'd love to come help! I think it is so much easier to declutter someone else's house because there is no emotional attatchment like there are for our own things. Someone coming in from outside can be much more objective, and ruthless!
I understand your frustration. I get the same way when there are projects here that I can't do myself, or do as well as I was once able to.

@nana59 You made me laugh with that one!
I think I should probably not hit anything but the grocery for the next six years or so!

I did the same. Cleaned out three bathroom vanities and linen closet....felt soooo good.

My DH is a latent hoarder so he will never let me throw anything away. Thus I had to always spring clean when he wasn't around so the week his company would go to their national convention every spring was my opportunity. He would be gone usually 7 days and that was just enough. I would take a weeks vacation and do a room a day. girls at work would be totally amazed that I wasted a weeks vaca on this but it was worthwhile to me to be in a perfectly clean house, and the garbage all gone before DH got home and dragged it all back in. I even used to hire a girl in the neighborhood to walk the dog for me every day so I could work dawn to dusk. I was so dissappointed when she went away to college.

what's really a scary thought for me...I thought I decluttered and donated a lot over the past few months BUT walking into my guest room, kitchen storage/pantry area I realize I still have more😳!!!!
I normally have hubby 1x/month all my "pot shelves", lighting and hard to reach places and other areas too low to floor for me.
I really am excited that our community yard sale is coming up I know a lot of my kitchen/home decor items will sell (many are new & impulse buys) and then I'm sure l'll reinvest my $$$$ into more kitchen decor!🙈🙊
Happy Spring cleaning!
