I see elements of both in the room. I actually kind of like it. It's comfortable, minus the lighting on the wall.

The main feature is the window seat.  It reminds me of a repurposed old sleigh with the high, curved arms.  it has more character, but I'd prefer it with lower arms & less ornate looking.

 

Otherwise, the room doesn't look like anything special.

Since this is just one photo of a portion of a room, it's sort of hard to figure out what it is. It reminds me of a small older home in the country or maybe a cabin somewhere. Maybe it's the living quarters of a carriage house!
