Re: The Grand Foyer...

[ Edited ]

@stevieb   It looks very much like the hotel lobby where I visited on the Amalfi coast.  Love it of course!

A place I would love to visit but if it were mine I would furnish it differently.

I like the space and chandelier but some of the furniture is too formal for me.

The foyer is nice but I don't like the furniture.

A bit too theatrical....especially that gold colored seating,  dont like the sphere and too much furniture

i think it's very well done, if you like that sort of thing.  feels like it must be a lobby in a hotel or restaurant, though.

That gold, round boudoir setee reminds me of a Golden Girls episode "Love Rose."   When Rose's date, Isaac Newton, comes into the ladies bathroom at the party...

********************************

Isaac: I was wondering where the party got to.

Dorothy: Isaac, this is the ladies' room! This is where ladies go to the bathroom.

Isaac: [looking at a large sofa that resembles a toilet] Whoa, how do you lift this baby up? I guess you have to stand back when you flush this thing."

***********************************

Sorry, that was the first thing I thought of when I saw that photo.  I have to stay off the Lifetime channel.

I do love the floor.
