Other than the flocked Christmas trees, I didn't see anything that grabbed my attention. If I'm home, I would consider watching the show simply to find out what prompted her to do this line. The person whose home décor items that I would like to see are those from Linda Dano. I love her sense of style.

Yeah, probably the designer poo-pouri!!

I am guessing fragrance was out of the picture for obvious reasons......The only obvious reason that Ellen wouldn't have a fragrance line is because she is a Covergirl. Covergirls are known to be beautiful, successful women. Covergirl is also a beauty company owned by Procter & Gamble which owns fragrance companies. It would be a possible conflict of interest or her to have her own fragrance unless it was under the P&G umbrella. Ellen is a beautiful person who spends her time being kind and helping others. SHE is a lady.I agree. Good point about the Covergirl angle.
Wow when I was a real young back in the 1960's just out of high school I used Cover girl because it was not powder or thick just right and price right for a teenager.

Gosh folks it is about time we stop this, one can not have it both ways, we all need to take our lumps and bumps like they say, if you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen.
I am growing weary of PC and CYA cards being played almost over a life time.
We the people need to realized we all live on the same planet and find a common ground on how to get along.
On the most part most of us do get along it is the dang radicals of any persuasion that is always stirring the pot.
It is a normal question to wonder why EG is doing this most likely someone in the PR department thought it was a good idea, but sorry this is not really in EG wheel house so it does come across contrived.
Ellen has some attraction, charisma but it is not working here, it falls flat on the subject matter she is trying to sell.
Hope you feel better!

Saw this thread and saw that the ED products were available for perusing so I perused. I'll be honest, I saw that most people were saying her products weren't particularly nice and I thought "oh, they just don't like Ellen for some reason". To my surprise, they were right!
What a strange and dull "collection". Why would she sell Christmas trees and gift bags?? The throws are so plain. The only thing of interest to me are the 'pattern' coffee mugs and they are $10.00 apiece when you add in shipping and tax. Her tail mugs are a good price when compared to those on Amazon, but they really don't interest me, esp in that red color. The "animal puns" are truly awful.
I really like Ellen, always thought she was funny, but I guess humor and a good heart do not translate into good home design. I am surprised because I thought she would have interesting things, since, as a comedian, she looks at the world a little differently. I will still watch the show since I know things can look different/better when you see them "live" v. a still photo.

I like Ellen and I know she's popular so it will probably sell well for one or two airings before people realize this is overpriced junk.this line of goods looks like cheap junk one can pick up in Big Lots. I don't know why a successful and wealthy person who seems to already have a full life would even be interested in putting her name on this stuff. Home decor to me is fluffy throws, pillows, accent rungs, ottomans, things one can incorporate effortlessly into their one style. This stuff looks like someone went shopping in a crafts store and brought back the clearance aisle junk.
If that's her style, I wouldn't like her home. I remember when Whoopie Goldberg brought her home decor to QVC. One show. that's it.Bed lines and most likely not successful. What's the point?

Why do so many folks care what famous people have in their homes I never understood that... Is life so void that the grass might be greener elsewhere....
good grief, who said I care? I don't and if she didn't bring this junk to QVC I certainly wouldn't look or comment. But since it is hyped because of her sense of style, I commented that if this is her style I wouldn't like it. Don't people know how to comprehend comments anymore? Your ridiculous statement about life being void is not even applicable to this conversation.
I think you're the one who didn't comprehend the comment.
then explain it to me because I don't get sarcasm and clever remarks most of the time. I only understand things that are just plain and simple and to the point. If she meant the general public has lives so void that buying celebrity junk is meaningful to them, aren't I part of the general public.
And if she quoted my post, then I assume she was talking to me only, otherwise she could have made her comment without using my post as a lead-in.
You know what? Given the rest of this thread I want to apologize because I think I am the one that didn't comprehend.
I thought javala was commiserating. Now, not so sure.

I would purchase if Satan himself designed or sold a home decor item I loved and probably have.
My point is not any one person or anything they have done good or bad has a viable point to weather or not i purchase.
I do not purchase BIEBER ---His stuff is as reckless as he has been.
