The Demolition has begun!

This a.m. my DH and 2 of his friends began ripping apart our hallway bathroom ( my DH's). Did you ever have to listen to cast iron tub being beaten into manageable pieces with a sledge hammer?? NO FUN! Then they had to use the sawzal tool to cut out the old plaster (with wire inside) walls. Again, NO FUN! I should have bought some earplugs. I would have gone to my daughter's home while this was going on, but, DH said they needed a "doorman" to open and shut the door for them while they carried out the old vanity, linen cabinet, stool, and trash cans full of broken plaster. THAT was my job, lol. At least it was easier than 3 yrs. ago when we gutted the master bath. There were only 3 of us and I was one of the ones filling and carrying out the trash cans. Can't do that anymore...knees too bad now.

They should finish by later on today and be ready for the contractor to start on Monday.
