I see a certain amount of elegance and a bit of casualness making the room inviting and comfortable. 

 

I think gray curtains picking up the gray in the furniture would soften the large window.  

 

It's not my style, but well done.

I love everything about this room. When you described it as Light and Airy you were spot on.

Beautiful room and furnishings. Love how the sun shines in through the large windows. Not a fan of the framed picture or mirror behind the sofa. The room was elegant in a casual way, but that piece takes away from the luxurious feeling. ETA:  An original painting would be a better choice with non-glare glass.
