Thanks for posting EVERYONE! It was fun reading who is pro or anti glitter! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Hi SHOPR & Kelluvspippi26, It's nice to know when you hear that you have made an impression on others. I just never knew that in my case, it would be with a leaf blower {#emotions_dlg.blink}

It's all good...{#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Hi Glorybe, loved your post... and glad you are a part of my glitter brigade too! I will 'carry on' and continue to do my duty and 'recrute' others {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Susan Louise - It is funny because every year I get my holiday things out and complaint and whine about the glitter falling everywhere and the cleanup, but that sure does not seem to stop me when I go to buy more things! I just LOVE glitter on decorative items and like the "frosted" or "sugared" look it gives to things!

I wonder if a few squirts of hair spray might keep the glitter from falling off? It works with weeds I gather for arrangements and spray to keep them from going to seed all over the house.

You would probably loose some of the shine on the glitter and some hairsprays will leave a sticky film which will only keep all dust that will accumulate on them. Not all hairsprays dry 'cleanly'...

Just got home from a shopping trip to Hobby Lobby, lots of glitter there. Saved 50% off everything, bought a lot. Now I wish I had paid more attention to their sleighs as the one I ordered was broken as so many others were Smiley Sad. Way too much glitter everywhere Smiley Sad I really wanted the silver one anyway. Carry on!!!

I unpack outside and then once the glitter is in the house, it doesn't get all over because my glitter reindeer can't move themselves and I don't ever carry mine around. Same with candles or anything else that glitters.

I've had the same glitter holiday ornaments for years with very little clean up required.

Re: Thanking those who return decor due to glitter/sequin issues...

Had to laugh when I saw this post: it reminded me of my very first post last December where I vented after having to vacuum up the glitter from some holiday cards. Some poster was kind enough to tell me that she would keep my preference so noted. Wow, I was surprised at the snarky responses. But now, I'm a veteran after reading so many posts on a myriad of topics!

On the subject of glitter scattering everywhere.....I once heard glitter described as the herpes of the craft world!
