It is a very cute tea kettle! I did use a stove top kettle, but picked up an electric one for work. I fell in love with it. My next one as on clearance for $10 and keeps the water at various temperatures you choose for hours. Apparently it was a costly item, but in my parts, people don't really drink hot tea or use tea kettles or electric kettles or anything that doesn't involve sweet tea. I also drink my tea out of a tea pot if I want a leisurely morning, or if I don't want a pot full, I use my french press. It makes a few cups wonderfully!

@spot555 Thanks for the review of All Clad. I donated a Farberware tea kettle that was 20 yrs old. The rivets on the handle were giving way.

I saw All Clad factory seconds for $69. I like a good cup of hot tea on a chilly night.

You're welcome!

If you do buy one, just remember to use the smaller size burner on your stove (All Clad recommends this). I have a flat top stove, so I only use the burner that is the same size as the bottom of the tea kettle. If you use a burner that's too large, the handle will get too hot. When you use the correct size burner, it stays cool to the touch. Smiley Happy

@tamigirl59,   The tea kettle is $50 and I received 30% off during their F&F event last week.

A couple of years ago, my super-cute tea kettle's handle fell apart (it was wood- couldn't fix it). I researched, & saw several I liked. Then I read reviews for SO many kettles.

My goodness, they certainly don't make them like they used to. Every single kettle I looked at had issues with rusting, leaking, etc. And it was immediate interior rust! I looked at kettles for a very long time, until deciding on the stainless All-Clad. It's a pricey guy, but I bought it at Bed Bath & Beyond with a 20% off coupon. It's extremely well-made, & heats quickly. I really like it.

It isn't cute like yours is, but this is a lifetime kettle. I get tired of having to replace everything!

@spot555  I did the same thing about a year ago.  I read so many reviews my eyes crossed.  It was really hard to find a good one.  I ended up settling on Cuisinart CPK-17

I bought my daughter-in-law this tea kettle a few years ago. She is a huge KS fan and flipped out when she opened it! I wanted one too but even though I love poltka dots it wouldn't go in my kitchen.
