@Foxxee ,

The inside is beautiful.

Thanks for posting this and your great descriptions!

@Foxxee   Those historical houses are amazing. They have been well presereved and I'm surprised that the selling price is so low.

I thought that it was really intersting to see the thatched roof, from the inside. I love the large fireplaces.

The houses are in a great location.

Oh, I'm sorry, @ECBG ,  I don't recall the name of it.  Hope you can find the same one.  Take care of your back-- at least your online activity might be a temporary distraction from discomfort at this time!

I peeked at that Welsh cottage video you recommended-- what a fascinating dwelling.  I like that the owner kept it so authentic, and resisted the impulse to "prettify it" to 21st century standards.  It's a gem.

Re: TWO UNIQUE 1700'S HOUSES WITH MILITARY HISTORY

Thank you so much @Foxxee and @ECBG! This is really interesting! I too live in an area where some of the homes date from the 1600's. I love seeing them and their interiors.

My parents rented their first house in Williamsburg. My mom frequented antique shops and furnished her home with pieces from them. She refinished a lot of the pieces, and in some cases had them done. As her only surviving child I kept what I could, and I have most of those tables and chairs, a bed, and a dining table. We have a chair from the 1700's. That one hasn't been refinished. It's all wood.

She added to her collection when we moved to Savannah. She was so talented. I should make a list of the pieces we have.

 I love history! I'm so glad they are preserving these buildings. Smiley Happy
