Re: TSV patio rug, did you buy one, or do you have something similar?

There are two types of these things. The ones that are mats (thin plastic-y textured things that you can fold and come packaged like that) and the ones that are more like indoor rugs and come rolled up.

In the past, QVC has mostly had the foldable mat type. I ordered one once and for me, it was only fit for outdoors and even then it just looked cheap and creased. I threw it away before long.

The heavier carpet type (like this TSV) are so much better.

If you can find them, the ones (from elsewhere) that look more like sisal are marvelous.

I'm using that type inside the house. I tried real sisal once but I soon found it wasn't compatible with pets!

I had one of these mat and after I tripped over an edge on it and nearly broke my neck, I had my yard man haul it to the dump. The edges of them constantly blow up and create a hazard. They are very lightweight and look and feel cheap. You get what you pay for. Spend a little more and get the type of outdoor rug that looks and feels like an inside area rug.

Thanks, everyone for the comments. I did have to wonder, since Q has been carrying this type of product for a number of years now, if they have cheapened them like they do many of their lines, and the quality might not be what some of you received several years ago.

I like their 30 day return, so if it isn't up to par, back it will go.

It has been helpful to me to read the comments on this thread. Thanks for starting it, Mominohio. I have a painted wood deck off of my laundry room and I think this rug will help protect it from the sun.

Yes, we have an 10 x 12 we purchased from Camping World about ten years ago. Same type of thing, won't mildew, can wash, it's great outside the motor home and under the awning.... It's thick and we love it... looks the same as it did when we bought it. At the time it was about $79, so comparable...

Ours is Green and Cream on one side (cream center, green swirl border)... turn it over it has a green center, cream swirl border). Smile

Hi Marsha2003!

I'm really excited to get these. I have watched the similar products for years, and always wanted to try them, so I jumped on it today.

My son is graduating from high school this year, and there are a couple of areas of the house and property that could really use a 'sprucing up', so these will be part of the cost effective makeover we're trying to accomplish.

I bet the sun on that painted deck can get pretty hot, so hope this is a little easier on the feet for you! Enjoy!

I have an older one that came folded up. Never could get all the wrinkles out. I think the TSV looks nice. I like that it's rolled. I may breakdown and order one.

This is a very good point, as I have an elderly mother at my home almost daily, and I myself have bad knees. Tripping and falling are not something either of us wants to deal with, so I will be very mindful of these to see if the edges lay flat.
