TSV clay cleaner...Is it really that good?? Any users??

[ Edited ]

Fiber glass tub and marble counters are my main concerns, tired of using chemicals all the time. Is the French clay the Q backstory they always look to reel buyers in?

Is clay - just clay?

Re: TSV clay cleaner...Is it really that good?? Any users??

I've been using the BioCleaner for a couple of years now and I have to say I LOVE THIS STUFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kind of silly to get so excited about something like this, and I tried another similar product from one of Q's big cleaning guys, and didn't think it was anywhere near as good as the Bio Cleaner.

I use it on stainless steel (sink and pots and pans shine better than when new), glassware that has water spots, stains, and hard water build up, fiberglass shower and tubs.

I collect vintage Pyrex, and it cleans that old paint on the outside of the bowls without scratching or dulling the paint, and the white insides, it takes the utensil marks right off. Cleans all the residue and dark marks off of Corningware, and Corelle dishes too.  I even have a set of Temp-tations Vintage Grace cream dishes that were showing utensil marks and it took the marks off those dishes, all without scratching (I use it on all my vintage Pfaltzgraff for utensil marks too).

A while back, I noticed that this product got some not so good reviews, and I think because it isn't a 'magic' paste, but requires some elbow grease to make it work. It isn't as simple as spread it on and done.

I stocked up on this, as at one time, they had some trouble keeping it in stock. I figured it would be like the Super Cloths and be gone someday.

I don't want to ever be without this stuff, as I use it to clean pots and pans daily.

Ditto everything @Mominohio said!

I bought it when it first came out to use on our glass top stove which I manage to slop up pretty quick every time I cook.

It cleans, it shines, it removes gunk and doesn't scratch.

We love it.  Use it everywhere.  I think it works just like they say.  Yes, mominohio is correct...you gotta rub!  But the pure ingredients sold us and the results were as promised.

It lasts FOREVER!  We use it all the time and have barely dented the tub!

Count me in as a happy customer.  This is the best stuff I've found to clean a glass cooktop.

I use this on all my sinks and it does a nice job, just make sure to rinse cause it can leave a film.

It seems that clay is the abrasive and cohesive component to the mix. They did state that it is not the only ingredient. There are soap crystals mixed in along with whatever scent you choose. Hard to say what the magic is per say but it does appear to work and people seem to like it. I was saying in another thread it reminds me quite a bit of another product sold by that home party business that begins with an "N" that sells "natural" cleaning products. Except their version sells for MUCH more. This is cheap enough that it seems like a super bargain compared to theirs. I'm definitely going to try it.

Though I have to snicker every time they say you are cleaning without chemicals, because that is misleading and completely false. Water is a chemical if you want to get techinical. They could say harmful or manufactured or man made, but you're still cleaning with chemicals here.

Re: TSV clay cleaner...Is it really that good?? Any users??

Thank you all for posting your reviews of this product.  I just ordered it myself.  I have tried numerous cleaners to get our stove top clean, and they barely work at all.  I will be excited to give this a try on our stovetop, and on our glass shower doors which are a real pain to clean.

Of course I had just swore to myself that I would stop ordering from QVC for awhile -- but this does not count, as it is a cleaner, and I could have bought any old cleaner somewhere else!  Clothes and jewelry are still off limits for me for now.

Glad you stated that!  I noticed when the MALE vendors of these cleaning products are partnered w/a FEMALE host, the females NEVER, EVER scrub.

It appears you need to use MALE strength/muscles to get the objects clean w/one or two swipes using.

FWIW....

I realize the female vendors do not want to mess up their hands & nails.  But, that is why Playtex invented...Screen Shot 2016-02-03 at Wed, Feb 3, 2016-1.37.04 PM.pngwhistling.gif

I noticed the same thing when the FEMALE host was presenting those 50 micro cloths.  The MALE vendor was doing all the rubbing.  FEMALE host never rubbed a thing!

I posted this under the TSV forum but can anyone describe the "original" scent? TIA!

There really isn't a scent, and that is what I prefer. There is a bit of a smell like clay (not play doh) but I don't find in to offensive at all and really I don't notice the smell unless I'm thinking about it. Definitely not chemically, or perfume smelling.

Many things we use to clean are either super scented, or super chemical smelling, and this is neither.
