I had read up on things I wanted when we built our house. I read that in Sweden all the homes have their  doors going outside, open outwards. So that's what I had done-all outward doors. It was great. Gave me lots more room in the rooms with outside doors. WAIT. Too late I realized that burglars just take the door off the hinges (which are on the outside) and just come right in.
