Sometimes it pays to think outside the box and be creative: find new use for existing things. Here are some ideas we've used: the TV set up was made by pushing together the ends of a computer work station and placing the bridge over the top as a bonnet which became the perch for the TV, VCR, clock, etc.
the middle desk part became my makeup table. I placed a towel on it to protect the wood from my humidifier on the floor beside it.

You need to rotate your pics, they are sideways. Hard to see.

@1jenniferjuniper: when I check my posts, all the pics are right side up. How are other posters' pics when you look at them ?
Since I'm not a techie, I can't solve the problem. Perhaps someone on the board can help. DooBdoo showed me how to insert pics on my iPad last week.
Good Luck...I know how frustrating it can truly be.

That is such a cool way to split up a piece of furniture and use it in several ways. I like how you think! It all looks great, too. There is no way I would have thought that the two pieces that created the cabinet were not originally meant to be used like that.

@jlkz, I am seeing some pics posted sideways here, and not just yours. When I look at the forum using my iPhone or iPad, those same pics are fine, but when I look on my computer, they are sideways. It isn't your fault but some kind of issue with the website, I assume. I haven't ever posted any photos from either my iPhone or iPad, so I don't know how or if this might be avoided. Maybe someone like DooB might be able to help.

SHOPR: I have to give a lot of the credit for that idea to DH. We gave the little chair for the table part to our next door neighbor for the son's desk. WIN WIN WIN !!!
