That's the same link oznell gave in the first post.

I scrolled down to view each image and none of them are of a room with shelves holding books.  

 

How did you find it?

 

Never mind.  I found it in the Carmel cottage.  You must have hit the right arrow instead of scrolling down.

That's a sharp analysis of the changes that have been wrought, @stevieb.   Much of what you so accurately pinpoint is why I finally stopped subscribing to House Beautiful, Elle Decor and Architectural Digest...

 

Still pick up a random copy or two from time to time, but not the same...

Love the Bee Cottage. Quaint. I love quaint. I grew up in a cottage and so enjoyed it. Thanks for the memories.
