I could like it IF the shadow boxes weren't there to mess it up.  Ditch those dead flowers, the furniture, the carpet.  Hang something larger than that skull, maybe something made out of iron, even a larger cooler skull would be a better statement piece.

I live in a log home and that does not appeal to me.

My very first impression is that it looks like a monster Gumby head.

Just looking at this makes me itchy with the thought of all the dust it would attract.  Not to mention possible ant/bug infestation.

How would you clean something like that?

Many of these DIY and home shows are so unrealistic I stopped watching.

My husband is a builder -- we built our  home together with our own hands -- and I can tell you that basic, good design far outweighs all the current "trendy" stuff.

His assessment of most of what is done is just plain stupid.

I agree with him in most cases.

Are those full sizr logs, or just sawed-off tops of logs?  Either way, not for me.  I have seen on tv (Fixer Upper I think) a fireplace that had vertically stacked firewood up one side, did not go all the way up, I liked it.

If the logs are purely for decor they can all be sealed with a product, so termites wouldn't be an issue.  But it's still not a good look IMO.

I also remember when Hilde made homeowners glue moss on walls in a room.  Horrible. Smiley Surprised
