Reminds me of hotel suites I've stayed in. I'll pass.

Ahhhh... yet another nicely appointed hotel room...

I don't think the kind of man that appeals to me would like this room. As others have said it looks like a hotel room, not the bachelor pad of a "manly" man. My husband definitely would not like it. He would prefer more rustic (although I don't care for that) I don't think even my brother who is much more sophisticated than me would like it either. Very angular, dark, has a dreary look to me. I do like the rug tho, I would like it on my front porch.

IMO this room needs some pops of color. I always thought red and brown go well together. Maybe red pillows, red in area rug, red flowers, red accessories on coffee table, etc. Rather than black walls they could have gone with various shades of brown for a softer look.

It is very swanky. It's a little too dark for me, but I think the "cleanness" of it.

I don't care for the end tables, or the lamps, and it is too dark for me, but otherwise it is nice enough-not my style however!

I like it. But then, I could probably live happily in just about any room that @lolakimono posts.

It's a little too dark and too square for me. Not a big fan of the rug or the end table.

To @stevieb and others who have said this, please expound. I ask for explanation with no intention to imply or stir up anything, I just don't get the connotation.
Is the ‘hotel’ description meant to be negative because the room doesn’t appear ‘homey’ enough? And, if so, what defines “homey”? If a home is clutter-free but is filled instead with good furniture, art, lighting and balanced design, is it less comfortable, less inviting?
The idea confuses me.
Edited to fix wonky spacing.

Not necessarily a "homey" factor, more of a lack of creativity or personality.
