Re: Sunny French Inspired Breakfast Room...

Beautiful, but somehow the flooring doesnt look right to me....Maybe a dark wood floor would look better....not sure.

I too love it but would prefer a different floor.

It's a very nice room, but I would add just a bit of color, perhaps a flower arrangement yellow, aqua, or peach tones.....

The chairs and table aren’t my style. I don’t like the worn shutters at all. The window makes a beautiful setting though.

I think it's a beautiful room.   I especially love the fact that the view from the window makes the whole room look cheery.

It's a room that would make me want to linger in over a second cup of tea on a Sunday morning.

I'm not a fan of most of the French style.  However, I would like the breakfast nook if the chairs (and all the prints) were replaced.

Re: Sunny French Inspired Breakfast Room...

I only opened this because of the words 'breakfast room'.

I hadn't heard that term in years. I grew up in older houses, built at the turn of the last century, and many had breakfast rooms in them. Smaller ones, were often called breakfast nooks in this area of the country. They were awonderful extension of the kitchens, and didn't eliminate the great formal dining rooms I love so much.

Made me nostalgic for the kind of homes I knew in my younger years.

Thanks for bringing back those great memories.
