Re: Sunday Edition: Home for the Holidays...

There's just something very 'homey' that makes one feel somehow protected about an old white frame house in the snow with the light shining out to welcome you home...

Not exactly the same, and maybe it's just the angle, but it reminds me of the house in "The Family Stone."

A classic! The porch makes it look so welcoming, doesn't it? I've never wanted to live in such a big house, or with enough people that it made sense to do so. But I appreciate the look and feel of it, and always enjoy visiting others with homes like this one. It would make a nice bed & breakfast, don't you think?

@stevieb

It's beautifully decorated from afar.

I just feel that anyone arriving at this home, it would make a person wear a "happy" face by feeling so welcomed here.

@Sooner

May I ask if you're from around the Sturbridge area?  It does fit right in with Sturbridge.  But, also many of the New England towns/cities.

Stately and elegant look, I would enjoy seeing the inside.

@sceniccoast Close!  Oklahoma!  But we've vacationed in New England, and particularly loved Old Sturbridge Village and way back when there was a small hotel on a lovely little lake!

So beautiful and looks warm and cozy without even seeing the inside!
