Re: Suggestions for Christmas Tree Decorations

Both would be really pretty and both are nature so it would really tie in. Please post a picture when you get it decorated I would love to see it!

Re: Suggestions for Christmas Tree Decorations

How about both? I love the look of "nature", but I always feel it looks better with some pops of red ~ either in berries or birds ~ or both. Have fun. I'm thinking of doing something different this year, too. The woodland theme seems to be popular the last couple of years.

Sundancecatalog.com has some ornaments that might fit with this theme.

World Market has some too, but I can't post the pictures because of the code.

Re: Suggestions for Christmas Tree Decorations

I say use both! I am planning adding "nature-themed" home decor this year, too. I plan on using burlap "ribbon" and bows as tree garland and lots of berries, feathers(ebay has pheasant feathers very reasonable), and dollar store and Michaels have bags of moss(just hot glue it to plastic or styrofoam balls.) So many options! Let your imagination go and I bet you will have a unique and lovely tree!

How about making some paper mache antlers to hang, too? I am loving the idea of your tree and may just have to do one like it in our lower level.

Re: Suggestions for Christmas Tree Decorations

We live in the country and my furniture is primitives. I do a ""country woodland"" tree with handmade ornaments. Do everything you mentioned! Have fun!

Re: Suggestions for Christmas Tree Decorations

I think it's a personal preference but you will get more of a color pop with the birds. Depending on the size of your tree the holly sprigs might get lost unless you tie them with plaid bows.

Re: Suggestions for Christmas Tree Decorations

WOW! What wonderful suggestions and ideas!!

lolakimono: The pic of the icicles that you posted are the exact ones that I have. I have two boxes of them, they're beautiful quality. I'm also going to search the sundance website. We start decorating the weekend after Thanksgiving, so I'll be sure to post a pic of our tree.

Thanks again, everyone. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Re: Suggestions for Christmas Tree Decorations

What you originally suggested sounds beautiful to me. Plus, it's your tree so do what you like.
