Stove heater with Flame effect - anyone buy this?

[ Edited ]

Does anyone have this?  Would like to know how you like it and if it is a heavy item.

Re: Stove heater with Flame effect - anyone buy this?

I jumped on this one, bought the cream colored model. Last year I bought a smaller DuraFlame (a square with the flame effect) and it kept me warm in my 3-season porch/family room all through our cold Minnesota winter. It really astonished me how well it worked.

I bought the newer version because I liked the way it looked and will fit into my decor nicely. The flames are so fun and real looking. My grandson loved mine and I will give the old one to him and his mom for their townhouse that has a really chilly area off the kitchen.

I have a chilly area off the kitchen also.  I have a tower heater that I really like but the stove heater is so nice looking.  Do you think it is easy to move around?

I have an older version.  I use it to heat my room on really cold nights, but since it heats so fast I turn it off and then fall asleep.  They are nice and these are even nicer than mine but I really don't need another one.

It is always mentioned in all of the presentations that it is easy to move around.  I bought two the other day. Smiley Happy

I own 2 Duraflame stoves and also have 2 wall units by another company which are massive.  I love them all.  I rarely use the heating function as I purchased them all for decorative effect.  I use the flame function without using the heater, and although they aren't literally warming the rooms, they help make my rooms feel cozier.

I bought the red for, guess what room, for the flame effect, and the second for the rec room for the same reason, though may need that one turned on at some point.

That red one is going to look great in your red and white room, @mousiegirl!

OP, to answer your question, no, they are not heavy and could easily be moved by anyone.  I have a gas log fireplace but prefer the Duraflame stove.  It's just as mesmerizing as a real fire and with the remote, easier to control.
