There was a majestic movie theater in the city I lived at and the ceiling was covered with twinkling stars, as youngsters we were always fascinated by it.

 

This reminds me of that time but I would have that design in a children's room, not mine!!!!

@wilma   When DD was little, DH put stars and the moon on her bedrom ceiling.  At times when I would lie down with her before she fell asleep, I would stare at the ceiling and it was magical, and every time almost put me to sleep.  The ceiling and her room are as they were then.  I have thought about having our bedrom celing like this, maybe one day.

Beautiful!  I grew up looking at the Blue Ridge Parkway and that WAS what I saw.
