Definitely fatalistic for this "older" woman. Even in my youth, those stairs would be impractical for me. I used to hate even climbing bleachers when I was in school, let alone stairs without handrails.

 

I wonder how the person living there carries their laundry down from upstairs?

I like the way that small area is decorated but those killer stairs would have to go. I just know I would be trying to step in the empty spaces.
