We have had our tc5 speed queen washer two months today and I still love it. It washes amazing. Our last generation washer quite often would go off balance but tc5 has never gone out of balance. Cleans really good, its alot faster and much better options and I figured out how to bypass switch so I now see how awesome it washes.big comforters pulls them through with great turnover. Well worth the Money we paid for it.

@Pooky1 Yes!! Another satisfied customer here too. Thinking about the dryer next. Wish I would have purchased the washer long ago. Definitely worth the money☺️

Re: Speed queen tc5 update.

Its the switch when you open the washers lid it makes the washer stop and start when you close the lid. Mine is on the right hand side where the console is where you select the cycle you want to use. If you Google the year your washer was made it will show you where its located. Different speed queen washers aren't in the same spot. But always in the back. Mine I didn't have to take anything apart. I was originally reaching the switch in the back of washer and holding switch to see washer running but that gets uncomfortable after awhile. And I have always loved to watch the washer running since I was a kid. Basically the lid pushes switch and I put something under the switch so you don't here it clicking when you open and shut the lid. I washed a comforter this morning and I had the lid up while the whole time comforter was washing. You then see how well it washes. Good luck.

I have been looking at speed queen washers for years and I know there expensive so after 2 two months I got over the shock when I do laundry that we actually have a speed queen if that makes sense to any of you.

@Pooky1

We have a Maytag but thanks for reminding me with your post about just having washed a comforter !  I forgot I did our king sized down comforter on Saturday and it is still hanging over the PVC pipe in the back basement...

It  should  have been dried by now !!!
