I lightly decorate my home from Memorial Day until Labor Day with a few Americana tidbits. No where as elaborate as the photo though! I also put red, white and blue buntings on the front of my outside porches. Love it!

Very nicely done! I like both your themes---the roosters and the patriotic theme............I like to switch out some decor pieces for the different seasons too, I love the way it freshens up the home!

About 2 weeks before Memorial Day I put out a few patriotic pieces and a flower arrangement with red, white, and blue flowers.....after the 4th of July I'm going with a sunflower theme and found some cute placemats at Stein Mart to use on my dinning room table............

me too @Snicks1 one big disadvantage when downsizing! I used to have a big kitchen w/island now I have small galley...but, I don't cook like I used to or entertain.

Lately, we've been trying different restaurants as he's been on a steak kick & im on fish - neither I cook at home ...

When the weather is cooler, I enjoy cooking and making things like casseroles and soups and also baking that's when I like to bring out the pretty cookware/bakeware, but when the weather gets hot I just don't feel like cooking much either... My central A/C is going strong but I prefer to eat salads, or pick something up, or go out, ...the heat just puts me out of the mood for cooking........If friends come over it's either a delivered pizza or just snacks---chips/dips etc.....................

and I thought it was me as soon as the humidity & fl heat hits I'm done! I sometimes think I'm going to lose my cooking skills as all the restaurants we've been going have been great! Better yet,

salad, entree & drink (sometimes dessert) for 2 under $40. I think that's perfect!

Tonight we are going to try this restaurant near the beach.

Sometimes eating out is so much easier, and if the restaurant is near the beach with a nice breeze even better.....Woman Wink  Enjoy!

Love the rooster vignette. I have a small collection of them, several of which are in my kitchen.

The raised tray is very nice, where did you buy it?
