Solar Shades vs. Cellular Shades

We have a large kitchen window which was recently replaced with new trim and I'm debating on whether to get a solar shade or cellular pleated shades. I already have a top valance so I only have to worry about the shades. Anyone have these in their kitchens/homes? Which do you prefer? Thanks, Reva
