I wouldn't have thought to use the color of these walls with a "farmhouse" look but I think it is really pretty.  It's called Brooke Green.

Too much clutter and useless stuff piled on top of other items or walls.

Re: Soft Farmhouse Look

Too many small items and not enough statement pieces. I do understand that but the mantel needs to have less little stuff and just perhaps a stack of books with a larger clock (maybe a gingerbread clock) instead of the dinky clock.  It needs a focal point, maybe just a large platter on a stand would suffice.  The faux window looks strange.  There needs to be a tall piece of furniture where the bookcase is located but I am not sure I Iike that bookcase and I don't know why.  A pie safe with bookshelves would repurpose a piece of country furniture and bring it into the present times.  I cannot put my finger on it.  It's just something.  Maybe this room looks too primitive, too much postmodern and too beachy, too kitschy and yet not country.  It could be made into a perfect farmhouse but it needs a little work.  The room does not create a wave.  The bookshelves need to be shorter or there needs to be medium height on either side, perhaps lower-hanging artwork or the bookshelves are in the wrong location and it needs shorter bookshelves and art work hanging at eye level on either side to create a wave.

Something about that window looks fake.

@jubilant  A very pleasant room and I like the wall color a lot... There are always things we'd each change or do differently, but I prefer this look to the more 'predictable' farm house look that has now become so overdone as to be somewhat mundane, at least to me. All that said, for some reason, I don't care for the bookcase so would consider a different piece instead.

I forgot to mention, I also really like the fireplace. Very pretty.
