My son has round columns that define his dining and living rooms.
His wife wrapped red tinsel around them at Christmas making them look like candy canes. I don't like them now because when she pulled it off some still remains years later!

They are separated now!

That was unfortunate.  I don't like red tinsel garland wrapped around anything.

Re: So, who likes columns in interior architecture?

I learned all about columns when I was in the 7th grade.  At the very top of the column there is a design and it has a name.  Corithian is one and Dorian is another and I forget the rest.

I like columns in a very grand home with a lot of square footage and the rooms are large to support columns.

I didn't care for the columns in room #5 at all.   I did like the idea of the columns in the kitchen areas of pictures #8 and #11.

They appeal to me  in a very large open space dividing the kitchen.

I think just 1 set of columns in a house is plenty.

I am a huge NO with full size columns. Square support posts from countertop to ceiling might be tolerable, depending on the rest of the room.

I like them as long as they're understated and don't serve to make a residence look like a commercial space or old government building...

I love the look of columns in any room in the house ... also, columns on the outside of the house are beautiful.🥰

we have an open concept craftsmen style home and have columns between our great room and kitchen with an arch plus between the foyer and great room with an arch between dinning room and kitchen area with crown molding in most rooms.  I really like a lot of architecture elements makes it interesting and unique.
