So glad weather is changing---

I live in western WA near Seattle--this has been a warm summer--a few more hot days and little rain ---our new normal --not searing hot for days on end--but still need some cooling--of course my apt has no central A/C ,so DD and I have portable ones in our bedrooms---as well as 400 fans blowing in the main part of the apt---the constant noise all day long is so annoying!!! But finally, I took the a/c hose out of the window and finally the fans are off for the most part and glorious, quietness reigns again--well it is an apt complex---but it is so nice not to hear all that noise!! Nights are longer and much cooler now and daytime is also only in the 60s--low 70s for this week and rain coming soon. Hello fall, my old friend!!!

I am looking forward to the cooler weather and yes (I will say it) the snow.

I am enjoying the cooler weather too. I like to open the windows and air out the house. Days still are pretty warm but the nights cool off. I've been sleeping better.

Still hot here in Colorado, but promises of getting into the 70's over the weekend. So sick of the 90 plus temps.

@wagirl Yes, Hello Fall for sure! We've had a long hot summer here on the east coast. But, now the afternoons and evenings are cooler as well. DH and I have actually been sitting out on the patio in the evenings to watch the bird drama around the feeders. Something we haven't done all summer.

Around here, September and October are just Summer Part 2 - but with pumpkins. No cooler weather here for a couple of months yet.

On the other hand, I'll be out in the sunshine surrounded by green leaves and flowers come January/February. No snow, no ice, so it all evens out.

It has been delightful @wagirl to have the cooler weather back here in Western Washington State. Sleeping so well with the bedroom window open and the nights in the low 50s/high 40s.

Thrilled to put the portable air conditioners away and change bedding to cotton flannel sheets & Pendleton blankets. So ready for Fall! Cheers!

It's still warm here (upper 80's) but next week it's going down to the mid 70's - can't wait.

I help my husband with the yard work (edging, weed wacking, cutting the lawn, blowing, watering, etc). We have a lawn service for weeds and fertilizer and even though we have not had any rain for almost 4 weeks our lawn is green and growing well as my husband waters it every day. The lawn and landscaping looks beautiful and we receive many compliments on it, but I'm just tired of being outside doing all this yard work in the heat as it's been a very hot summer here - I'm so ready for fall!
