Simmering Pot Recommendations

I recently purchased electric wax warmer to use with wax cubes-however-I had it on for over 4 hours and the wax barely melted. It does not warm properly. And the cup is so small.

I generally used a small brass kettle on stove for simmering and the smell is wonderful. The house smells delicious.

Has anyone used a small/mini crock pot as a wax warmer? If so-any recommendations on brand? Thought maybe this would be better than the electric warmer.

Appreciate your feedback.

Thanks

Re: Simmering Pot Recommendations

What brand warmer and cubes are you using? Mine are from Walmart and I've never had a problem.

Re: Simmering Pot Recommendations

I purchased the Walmart cubes also----the wax warmer I purchased is tall and the light I am thinking is too far from the top to throw enough heat.

I thought maybe a crock pot may work but did not want to create a fire---not sure if they can be used for wax.

Re: Simmering Pot Recommendations

Try another warmer from Walmart. They have some cute ones. Don't give up on them.

Re: Simmering Pot Recommendations

I have no trouble with the wax melting, but my warmers have a 35w bulb.

Scentsy warmers throw scent really well. Most use 25 watt bulbs (wall plug-ins are 15 watts) and some have a built in warmer without a bulb. I think they're the best wax warmers out there.

Re: Simmering Pot Recommendations

They make small crock pot warmers for wax melts. They're a little hard to find. I've had a couple but find that it's hard to get the old was out. With my warmer with the little dish, from Walmart, the wax just pops out.

Re: Simmering Pot Recommendations

I have two vintage-ish Rival ones. One is a simmer pot made for potpourri and the other is the little dipper which works the same way. I find they simmer so gently they don't throw a lot of scent. I tried some actual potpourri which is harder to find these days and also tried just a cinnamon stick and apple and vanilla. They both smelled lovely close up but didn't have much scent range. Probably nothing like the result you have with your kettle. I'd like to try the Scentsy.
