They are very nice. A friend has a bunch of them all over the house. I just dont want them unless I come across a very special one that means alot to me ![]()

I'm not a fan and have never bought any signage for my home or for others.
Nothing *speaks* to me.
A relative has signs from the minute you walk in the door and all the way to the powder room.
All cheaply made plaques that just look so drab and really bring down the decor.
I don't even think the *sayings* mean anything to her. She just can't help herself.
Recently she texted a pic of the new bedding on her bed and told me I need to talk her DH into a sign or two over the bed.
I replied back that I thought artwork would be a better choice--words can only be suggestive, images send a clearer picture.

Inspiration is extremely valuable, it's a tool for life, a way to expand or reach higher or find a bit of joy. I don't mean to diminish that.
I remembered when I was a young adult I would write out and hang lines on the wall from The Prophet by Khalil Gibran. They kept my spirits up when I felt I was climbing against a rockslide.
What I don't need in my life is a sign in my kitchen that says "eat" or similar signs that to me are ridiculous but they fill up space and I think that is probably the intent. If that gives joy, more power to those who experience it.

I have a few throughout my home. We have the Wash, Brush, Floss, Flush in our bathroon. In the kitchen we have one which states "Frame Your Life With Faith"

Not my style, either. Furthermore, I don't do messages on t-shirts either. I really don't need to post Peace or Love or whatever on my chest.

I agree. I find them trite and tacky. The same feeling toward those phrases people have written on their walls.

Agree @Bird mama @phoenixbrd To every rule there is an exception...

I don’t like all the huge signs that many are filling their walls with instead of art. I think they look fine on porches or smaller ones grouped with actual artwork...a friend has a very small 4X6” one by her bathroom sink. It says “wash your hands and say your prayers, Jesus and germs can be anywhere”. I like it! The huge “farmhouse” signs I really don’t like...who labels their farmhouse?
the signs and sayings have just been overdone...if you have a lake house, beach house, or cabin, am sure some would look just fine... it not for me

I think they're nice, but can be overdone. It's a way of expressing your feelings and what's important to you. I have two which are pictured below. The "gather" one is in my dining room which represents family and getting together. The "let's stay home" is what my husband and I prefer. We often have plans to do something and then we decide to just stay home. We're homebodies and we call ourselves duds. LOL
