Yesterday, I was cleaning my shower and pulled a muscle in my back.  I am not as young as I used to be, and I am so tired of trying to clean this old shower stall.  It never looks clean, even with much elbow grease.

Do any of you know of a good product that will make this job easier.  I am looking for somthing to spray on the two corner mold areas.  These have been black for years, and no amount of scrubbing will help.  Also, has anyone had luck with the products that you spray after each shower to help cut down on dirt and grime.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you tried bleach on the mold?  Put some soaked cotton balls on it and let it sit for a while.

I keep a squeegee in the shower and use it to wipe the water away after each shower.  It does help with keeping the soap scum at bay.

I wipe down my shower tiles every time after I shower with my bath towel. There is never any soap scum build-up, as a result.  If the grout at the bottom seem (where the pan meets the tile), I periodically drizzle straight bleach.  Rinse a bit later.  Keeps it clean-looking.

Re: Shower Cleaning Products

I found this on Pinterest - equal parts of white vinegar and the blue Dawn dishwashing soap.  I put it in a spray bottle and let it set for at least 30 minutes and wash off.  It's the only thing I have found to clean the bottom of my shower.  Doesn't smell that great but gets the job done.

kcubed - if the bleach doesn't help, it may be mold under the seal.  That seal would need to be removed and cleaned underneath.  Then re-seal the areas.

I use a mixture of 2T. of dishwasher (like finish or cascade rinse aid...), not dishwashing liquid, mixed with 1c. white vinegar.  Put that mixture in a spray bottle (32 oz.) and fill the rest of the bottle with water.  I spray it on everyday after showers, but I wipe down the shower including the shower floor with a towel three times a week.  If you have doors or curtain liner, you could use it on those as well.

I like the results.

Re: Shower Cleaning Products

We've always had the old black & white tiles. I used a spray bottle with bleach and water.

Now in new house with fiberglass and like to know what works best.

I see posts about vinegar and dish soap / and or dishwasher detergent.

Thank!

I have a fiberglass shower floor and it's a bear to clean.  The vinegar/blue Dawn combo is the best I've found.  I've tried everything from straight bleach to every kind of bubbly cleaner there is.  I also purchased V33924 that works well for me.  With the long handle, I don't have to get on my hands and knees and it has several brush heads.

Something that works for me is I take a paper towel (or 2) soaked with bleach and let it set on the moldy grout area overnight. In the morning the grout is clean and I just toss the paper towels. Works great!

Re: Shower Cleaning Products

I've been using this product for many years. It's great for removing those dark stains on shower grout. This is a gel so it stays put. I leave it on over night then rinse away the next day. My grout comes out sparkling white every time!Woman Happy

It's a tube about six-inches long usually found hanging in the laundry detergent isle or in the bathroom cleaners isle.
