Like most of us, I have cut way back on shopping from all categories. Being at home more than ever I am more critical about what needs to be added, replaced or changed around the house.

What's on your shopping list for your home?

I need to replace the 2 year old rug on my deck. I love it, but it gets late afternoon sun and I noticed that it has faded and it's also very dirty around one particular planter. Found one at Overstock that's on sale. Will probably wait until Labor Day to buy as I will not use it until the spring.

I have also been looking around for some time to replace the print hanging over my LR sofa. It worked great in my previous home, but the scale is too small for my present home.

I am always tweaking something- this year more than usual.

I'm looking at an area rug to put over the carpet - and some throws for the fall, my favorite season.

We've been working on our house since we've moved in 4 years ago.  We hve done a lot but have a long way to go.  During the pandemic we painted the dining room, family room and living room.  Replaced dining room chandelier and purchased new family room sectional.  On our short list:  refinish living room tables (2 to go plus one chair), new living room sofa with 2 chairs.  Area rugs for front door, dining room and living room.  Long list:  one more AC unit and furnace replace, remodel downstair bedroom and bath, remodel powder room, replace driveways (2), paint kitchen and install blinds.  If in budget, replace countertops, we have a structure in backyard that needs to be torn down, re-do patio surrouding pool.  I'm sure there's more but can't remember it all.

Luckily I am beyond the remodeling thing.......when we downsized we had our entire townhouse painted, bought new appliances and put in all new hardwoods........It is a project and a headache so I wish you all well with yours!   I have been buying small things such as a couple of Fall throw pillows, a new comforter and a few small Christmas decorations, all on sale at Macy's and Balsam Hill and free shipping!!   I feel like I got some great buys Smiley Happy

During this time, our homes have truly become our castles, and since the drawbridge is up, and no one can visit, things we may not have noticed before take center stage.

I live in a rental, so my updates can only be decorative in nature - an area rug and seasonal touches are my limit - but still fun to look for.  Oh, and maybe a new lamp for my sofa table -

I will need soon to get window curtains, bed sheets,

bathroom towels, and  area rugs.

I had scheduled a trip to Pottery Barn in March to look at a white leather sofa in person to check the white color and make sure it was not too yellow or gray.

I have no other reason to go to the mall and I am not interested in going to the mall right now, so this is on hold indefinitely.

It's a nice to have not a necessity.

I have redone my mantel and coffee table with new things.  I've also bought a duvet cover for my bed.  I was getting ready to look at fabric to have Roman shades made for my bedroom and master bathroom when my air conditioning went out.  It was almost 20 years old.  I had to buy a new heat pump.  I am SO glad I hadn't bought the fabric yet!
