Oh that was smart you called CS!  I'm really shocked as well now that it's not a typo.  Yikes!  As the other posters have suggested, there are less expensive options out there.  I'm sure you'll find something that is more reasonable!  Good luck!  

P.S., The description states "some assembly required", so the shipping charge seems even more absurd now!

I don't know who decided $94 was a fair shipping charge. I'd never pay that either.

I wonder if it was a typo.

I always shop around. Everything I want can be found elsewhere for less money and free shipping 99.9% of the time.

Shipping costs can get crazy. I watch a lot of YouTube channels about tropical fish and there's always talk of high shipping costs. One channel, Predatory Fins, told of buying a large fish for a customer in Africa for $8, but the shipping cost was over $800 so they had to price the $8 fish at over $800 just to break even. And if the fish had died, they'd have to eat the $800 shipping cost.

High shipping costs may be because of the weight of the product. Does the description say what it weighs?

I received this bench in error when I purchased the round table.  I can attest to its weight as I couldn't pick it up.  I had to ask customer service to issue a UPS return pick up because it was so heavy.  I'm not sure why the shipping is almost $100, but there's no way it could ship for $20.

I'd like to know why QVC has stopped listing the shipping cost along with the price of the item.  What are they trying to hide?

I don't want to have to put things in my cart just to find out.

Then I get inundated with emails saying "Wait!  You left this behind!"

@qualityshopper - There's a thread that tomorrow (04/14) is likely to be a free shipping day.

I noticed that the cost of the bench you wanted has gone up, but it might still be worth it to save the shipping cost.

There was a comment that it might be the weight of the bench to explain the high shipping.  Well, it weighs 22 lbs. (not that heavy).  I get 40 lb. bags of bird seed shipped free from Sam's Club!

Maybe it's the overall dimensions?

There have been many things I have removed from my cart over the years due to the exorbitant shipping charge. Free shipping days don't always help if the item is already gone or they have raise. The highi charges for the bench may be due to from where it will be shipped.

I have been shopping for years and the shipping costs have been ridiculous. I was so excited to order the new fall items that are out. I picked 4 items, small and not heavy at all and the shipping was $22.00!!! Yes, I can wait for free shipping day but these arenot very often and usually the items I want are out of stock. Sorry QVC, you need to do a lot better than this. I find myself shopping on Amazon more and more.

google this item----I would never order something like this and pay that amount of shipping. But I bet you can find one similar, locally, especially when probably it would be on sale due to the seasonal sales for summer stuff.
