I've noticed a real difference between out Ralph Lauren sheet set and other high end sheets.  The RL were much softer.  Apparently, I was less tired when I went to bed!

I love, love sheets.  I actually get my sheets dry cleaned.  The other day I took in 18 sets (swear to you) of sheets to get cleaned.

That's how much I love having fresh ironed sheets.

I guess it's just me but I'd never buy linen sheets, like the other person said, I would think they'd wrinkle terribly.

@Annabellethecat66  I think great sheets are one of the things REALLY worth spending money on!  I LOVE nice sheets!

I have an antique linen sheet (full size) that I keep out in the summer to throw over me for a nap.  I love it!  It is crisp and cool.  I don't think it would beat cotton, however, to sleep on.  Really good, silky cotton sheets. . . . .OH my!

When I was growing up we had sheets with a little poly in them and I just HATED them!

@ECBG

I recently purchased some RL Chaps white sheets from Kohl's.  Think they were 400 TC.  Nicest sheets I have EVER had.

Substantial, yet soft and silky.  They are the sateen finish, so extremely smooth.  Will not buy any other sheets from now on.

Do you mean having them laundered?  I would not want to sleep on sheets that might be dangerous to my health if they were dry cleaned.

I agree.  And I couldn't imagine 18 sets being dirty although I'm in a little cottage and there isn't room for that much dirty laundry.

But is that good to let something sit that long needing to be washed/laundered/dry cleaned?

I have seen how the dry cleaners employees will drag the *clean* fancy/shiny expensive comforters across the dust bunny floor.  They don't care---it's not going on their bed!
