Sheets not 100% cotton? do you like?

I always buy 100% cotton sheets.

Today I accidently bought sheets that are 57% cotton 43% poly.

any comments?  should I try or return?

I like the cotton / poly combination - they don't wrinkle as much.  I like percale sheets and it seems most of them include some poly.

It depends on how picky you are about sheets.  The cotton blend you bought would be fine with me.  It's the 100% polyester sheets that are bad--slippery, shiny and cheap feeling.

@Mary Bailey  Even though they can wrinkle, I prefer 100% cotton sheets.  I've bought other fabrics in the past when I thought I was getting a deal or wasn't paying attention and I'm not crazy about blends or microfiber because they don't feel right to me and some have pilled.  I pay closer attention now.  Considering the price of sheets, we don't have many sets to rotate, 2 or 3 for each bed.  Sometimes I'll pull the freshly laundered set out of the dryer and put them right back on the bed.

I'm a cotton sheets snob.  Anything other than 100% cotton is too hot and uncomfortable.

Re: Sheets not 100% cotton? do you like?

Everybody likes and is looking for something different in any given category.

And one school of thought is that if you find something you love, you stick with it.

Another is to not be afraid to try new things. If these were purchased from a place with a generous return policy, you could give them a try, and if you don't like them, return them.

I say nothing ventured, nothing gained. And if you try something new, give it some time, and don't decide in like 10 minutes that you hate it. It takes time to really know if you like something different than you have ever had. Use and wash several times and give yourself some real time to see how it works.

I think you're wise to return them.  The one time I tried sheets that weren't 100% cotton I was way too hot.  I donated them.

No, I have to have cotton sheets.
